Success

When one looks up the definition of success they will find: the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. When I look up the definition of success, I find a picture of myself. I know that it sounds corny; however, if you literally put a picture of yourself in a dictionary next to the word success, you will become successful. In order for one to be successful, they must first find out what the word means to them; is it money, is it a girlfriend, is it to be a better friend? An answer must be reached before this person can be a "success". A wise man once said that "success is not the key to happiness, happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing you will be successful". For me, I have always wanted to be a billionaire, then I thought about it thoroughly and a light bulb turned on in my head. Do I want to be a billionaire for the money? No, I want to be a billionaire so that I can live the life of a beach bum and surf all day. Then I really started to think, do I really need to go through all of the steps of becoming a billionaire so I can live the life of a surf bum? For me the answer is yes. I love business just as much as I love the idea of being a surf bum. I love doing deals and making money. It makes me happy which in turn is my key to success. I want to be a billionaire so that money is not an object to me. So that I can do what I want whenever I want. Reaching financial security is my key to happiness and therefore success. For me it was important to realize that the money itself will not make me happy. It is the path of reaching my goal that will ultimately make me a successful happy man.

Since when does being a billionaire equal financial security? When did being a millionaire become not enough? I think that happiness comes from surrounding yourself with the people you care about and accomplishing the goals that you set out for yourself, whether you are getting a big paycheck or not. I have seen many people get sucked into the lust and lure of being rich, that they lost sight of the people that were there along the way to love and support them. Don't forget the importance of friends and family, because without them you have no one to celebrate your success with.

I think that we are in agreement. The road to becoming a billionaire is what is going to give me happiness. Like I said, i love business and establishing relationships. I have a good head on my shoulders and will not lose sight of how I got there or who helped me. Additionally, I love my family and friends more than anything. It reminds me of the movie Into the Wild. When can only be truly happy if they have people to share their success with. I am in total agreement.

If you were smart you would know that money is a fucking joke. Before you get the chance to be a billionaire the whole fucking thing is going to come crashing down. Im not talking about a depression. Im talking about the end of greed. The end of oppression, as the form of money. People will realise that this world isnt the game monopoly. Very few people actually are rich in this world. They will soon take up the mantra "they are few, we are many" The idea that you even want to be a billionaire definatley reaks of underdeveloped soul. Im glad you realize that you should be a happy sombiach where ever you are in life but your just riding the train of greed. Way to keep on with the pillaging. Maybe you could get a couple slaves while you at it. Oh and its kinda tough to a surf bum when you got enough to buy the beach. Bum implies lack of funds. your dam thoughts are with the dark side. lively up yourself. oh and i love you

I am glad that you feel that way and I believe that you missed the point. There are a lot of billionaires out there who are truly helping the world. Take the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for instance. Bill does not owe the world anything, he created his own wealth based off how smart he is, and yet is IS giving back. Additionally, Warren Buffet did the same thing, donating Billions, yes Billions of dollars to charity. Now if there is money out there to be made, why can't I be the one to make it? If I practice good business and don't screw anyone over, then what have I done wrong? I would venture to say nothing. That is what the United States was built on, Capitalism (no pun intended by the capitalization!). I want to do the same as Warren and Bill. I want to make my money, never have to worry about it again, then help the less fortunate. I think it is funny that just because I want to become wealthy people automatically think that coincides with greed. I also feel that you are very angry John? Why does money make you so mad? Money is a means to an end, that end for me, like I said before is financial freedom, then the ability to help!
